Cassadee Blake Pope (August 28, 1989) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. She is from West Palm Beach, Florida, and plays pop-rock, pop-punk, emo pop, power pop, and country-pop music. Pope attended Wellington High School in Wellington, Florida, and soon founded the band, Blake. The group was disbanded in 2008, and Pope founded another ensemble with her friends named Hey Monday. She was the lead vocalist of the band, which has been on hiatus since December 2011. The first studio album released by the group was Hold on Tight in 2008. Before the hiatus, Hey Monday released two studio albums and 3 EPs.
In early 2012, Pope embarked on her solo career and released a self-titled extended play. She went on her first solo acoustic tour the same year. Pope auditioned for The Voice (season 3) and had offers from all four coaches to join their teams. Some of the notable songs performed by Pope at the show are "Over You," "Gangnam Style," and "Stupid Boy." She won season 3, and her album, named The Voice: The Complete Season 3 Collection, which compiles her performances on The Voice, hit number 1 on the Heatseekers.
Some of her other notable studio albums as a solo artist include Stages 2019, Rise and Shine 2020, and Summer EP 2016. A few of her hit singles are "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart," "Take You Home," "If My Heart Had a Heart." Pope has won many awards, including a Grammy Award in 2017 and a CMT Music Award in 2014.
