CashBack is an English tribute band that is based in Birmingham, AL. The group pays tribute to the legendary Johnny Cash, and is arguably the best Johnny Cash tribute band so far, and is led by Leif Bondarenko. The current lineup of the band consists of Gary Edmonds (electric and acoustic guitars, vocals), Leif Bondarenko (lead vocals, drums), Eric Onimus (bass guitar), Tommy Bowen (trumpet, keyboard, vocals), and Adam Guthrie (acoustic and electric guitars, vocals).
Since early 2018, CashBack has been performing their outstanding rendition of Johnny Cash’s classics at various Deep South venues. The five core players of the tribute band are all veterans of the Birmingham music scene. The talented and lovely Lannette Brasher often joins the group as a special guest vocalist.
Bondarenko is known for his powerful voice and the show’s star, whereas Eerily is similar to Johnny Cash in his heyday. Along with blazing guitars and swinging rhythm, the tribute band never fails to deliver a lively, heartwarming, and exciting performance to the audience.
