Carson McHone Information
Carson McHone is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. She was born in Austin, Texas. In 2013, she released her debut EP, "Carson McHone." In 2015, she made her debut at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. Soon after, she was selected to be one of the first six Austin musicians to participate in Project ATX6, which sent them to the NXNE (North By Northeast) Festival in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany.
Goodluck Man, McHone's debut studio album, was released in 2015. When September 2016 rolled around, Nashville, Tennessee, hosted the Americana Music Festival, and McHone was there to perform. Her 2017 concert in September marked her comeback to the stage from the previous year. There was a McHone performance at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas in October 2017. She was hailed as "one of the top 10 Austin acts to look out for" by Vinyl List Magazine just before the Festival.
Consequences of Sound magazine afterward recognized her as one of the "top 10 setlists" of the Festival. McHone's second studio album, Carousel, was released on Nine Mile Records on October 26, 2018. Mike McCarthy, famous for his collaborations with Spoon and Patty Griffin, recorded and produced the album in Nashville.
