Carla Morrison Information
Carla Morrison (July 19, 1986) is a Mexican indie-pop singer and guitarist. She was born in Tecate, Baja California. She traveled to Phoenix, Arizona, when she was 17 to study music at Mesa Community College. Still, she dropped out to pursue a career in music with Nicolas Kizer and Niki Petta in their band Babaluca. Morrison eventually left the band to pursue a solo career only after they began working with Colorstone's Mark Erickson.
Acoustic renditions of thirteen songs from her previous albums, as well as two new songs, "Te Regalo" and "Dime Mentiras," make up her latest album, Amor Supremo Desnudo, which was published on June 9, 2017, and was produced in collaboration with Alejandro Jiménez.
At the 19th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, this album was up for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. The music video for Lila Downs' 2018 single "Ser Paloma" featured a diverse group of women of many ages, ethnicities, and occupations to celebrate women's contributions to society.
She also appeared on J Balvin's "Vibras" track from the same year. Released on September 21, 2020, "Ansiedad" is the first taste of her new album, El Renacimiento; the music video was shot in Lithuania and directed by Colin Solal Cardo.
