Caligulas Horse Information
Caligula’s Horse is an Australian progressive metal band that is based in Brisbane, Queensland. Jim Grey and Sam Vallen founded the group in early 2011 with the band’s current lineup, including Jim Grey (lead vocals), Sam Vallen (lead guitar), Adrian Goleby (guitar), Josh Griffin (drums), and Dale Prinsse (vocals and bass). The band released one of its notable albums “Bloom” in 2015 that brought them their first musical success. This album reached number 16 on the Australian Albums ARIA Chart and number 75 on the overall album chart. On October 21, 2015, it also hit number 73 on the Australian iTunes chart.
Caligula’s Horse released its debut studio album “Moments from Ephemeral City” in 2011 and followed up with their extended play, “Colossus." The albums were released independently. After releasing these albums, the band signed a record deal with Welkin Records. On the newly signed record label, the group released its second studio album entitled “The Tide, the Thief & River’s End” in 2013.
For the release of Caligula’s Horse third studio album, the band signed a record deal with Inside Out Music. The album “Bloom” was released in 2015, followed by the release of its fourth album on the same record label entitled “In Contract" on September 15, 2017. The band kept performing live shows throughout the country to entertain their loyal fans, and on May 22, 2020, they released their fifth studio album entitled “Rise Radiant.”
