Butcher Babies is an American Los Angeles, California-based heavy metal band. The current lineup of the group consists of Ricky Bonazza (bass), Chase Brickenden (drums), Henry Flury (guitars), Heidi Shepherd (vocals), and Carla Harvey (vocals). In 2011, the band self-released their first EP and debuted a comic book at Comic-Con in San Diego. Goliath, their debut album, was released on Century Media Records on July 9, 2013. It reached number three on the Billboard Heatseeker chart and number 112 on the Billboard 200 in its first week of release in the United States.
Butcher Babies' YouTube video of them singing Pantera's "Fucking Hostile" garnered much attention. The Butcher Babies debuted a new song, "Mr. Slowdeath," on January 6, 2012. They released their debut music video for "Mr. Slowdeath," a song from the band's self-released EP produced by Mudrock, on May 24. (Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack).
In November 2012, Butcher Babies inked a worldwide deal with Century Media Records, and a month later, they embarked on a North American tour with Marilyn Manson from January to February. Take It Like a Man, the band's second studio album, was released on August 21, 2015. On October 27, 2017, the band's third studio album, Lilith, was released.
Butcher Babies released a new song named "Bottom of the Bottle" on October 30, 2020. Other notable singles by the band include "They're Coming to Take Me Away Ha-Haa!", "For the Fight," "Lilith," and "Look What We've Done."
