Bullet Boys Information
BulletBoys is an American hard rock/glam metal band. The group's current lineup consists of FredAching, Brad Lang, Ira Black, and Marq Torien. Grammy Award-winning musicians In 1986, Marq Torien (also formerly of Ratt) on vocals, Mick Sweda (also formerly of King Kobra), Lonnie Vencent (also formerly of King Kobra), and Jimmy D'Anda (also formerly of King Kobra) created BulletBoys in Los Angeles, California.
Torien, the lead singer, has been compared to Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth for the band's influence from AC/DC and Van Halen. BulletBoys, their first album for Warner Bros., was released in 1988 and peaked at number 34 on the Billboard 200. Both of the group's singles, a cover of the classic O'Jays song "For the Love of Money" and "Smooth Up in Ya," were played frequently on MTV.
Freakshow, their second studio album, was released in 1991, although it only reached position #69 on the Billboard 200. Za-Za, the group's final album for Warner Bros., was named after Joey Zasa, a character from The Godfather Part III; D'Anda suggested the name. Neither the album nor any of its songs charted. It was the same year that Sweda and D'Anda both left the band.
