Bridget Kibbey, re-named the "Yo-Yo Ma of the harp" by Vogue Senior Editor Corey Seymour, is in high demand for her avant-garde, virtuosic performances that broaden the harp's expressive potential. She spans genres as a soloist and works with today's leading musicians and composers to highlight and elevate the harp's significance throughout time and musical cultures.
Kibbey has won two important awards: the Salon de Virtuosi SONY Recording Grant and the Avery Fisher Career Grant. She won the Concert Artists Guild competition, the Journées de Les Harpes Competition in Arles, France, and the Peter Mennin Prize for Artistic Excellence and Leadership at the Juilliard School. She graduated from the Bowers Program of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (formerly CMS Two) and performed yearly with the CMSLC. Her debut album, "Love is Come Again," was rated as a top ten debut by TimeOut, NY, and she had her NPR TinyDesk debut in 2020. She has also appeared as a soloist on Front Row Washington, A&E's Breakfast with the Arts, WQXR, and WRTI, among other programs.
