Breland Information
Daniel Gerard Breland (July 18, 1995) is an American record producer, singer, and songwriter. He is professionally known as Breland. Breland began penning his songs, which reflected his musical tastes then. Rather than attend NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, he attended Georgetown University in Washington, DC, to major in business. He served as a Residential Advisor and performed and arranged a cappella with a group known as the Phantoms throughout his time there.
In June 2020, the EP Rage & Sorrow was released. The racial turmoil that followed the killings of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and Ahmaud Arbery served as inspiration for Breland's subject on the EP. The tracks "A Message" and "Real Men Don't Cry" are among the others. "Soul Food" and "Out the Cage," both featured Keith Urban and Breland on guitar, were co-written for Urban's September 2020 album, The Speed of Now Part 1. "Out the Cage" included Breland's vocals and Nile Rodgers' rhythm guitar performance.
Breland became an on-air host for his radio show, Land of the Bre, on Apple Music Country in September 2020. The new Breland/Thomas Rhett duet "Praise the Lord" came out in March 2022. September 9, 2022, saw the release of his debut album, Cross Country. "Cowboy Don't" was Breland's new single in August 2023.
