Brasstracks Information
Brasstracks is an American R&B-hip hop production duo based in Alphabet City, Manhattan, New York. The group’s current lineup consists of Conor Rayne (drums and production) and Ivan Jackson (horns and production). The duo was founded in 2014 after Jackson and Rayne met each other while attending the Manhattan School of Music. Jackson used to play trumpet, whereas Rayne was a drummer. The duo released its first track entitled “Say U Will.” Their first EP was Good Love, released on August 19, 2016. The EP also included collaborations with Masego, Lido, Jay Prince, and Roses Gabor.
Brasstracks produced another single by Chance the Rapper entitled “No Problem.” The single features Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz. The duo appeared on Anderson Paak’s “Am I Wrong,” which also featured Schoolboy Q. Brasstracks has written and produced for many notable artists such as Mark Ronson, Khalid, Harry Styles, GoldLink, and Wyclef Jean.
Brasstracks signed a record deal with Capitol Records in 2019. They also released a live EP entitled Before We Go: Live From Capitol Studios. The live EP featured live versions from last year’s EP entitled Before We Go.
Brasstracks toured with Big Gigantic, GRiZ, Jack Garratt, Mr. Carmack, and Lido. The duo released its debut album entitled, For Those Who Know (Deluxe), on October 3, 2018. Their next album was Golden Ticket, released on August 21, 2020. Some notable singles of the duo are “Say U Won’t,” “Too Far Too Fast,” and “Professional.”
