Brad Colerick is an American singer and songwriter born in Valentine, Nebraska, in the heart of Cherry County. He spent his early years in Lincoln, where he later attended the University of Nebraska and studied both business and music. He started his official career by playing in clubs and writing jingles at a studio for several years. Colerick packed his car with everything that would fit in and moved to Los Angeles, where he further pursued his music career.
Colerick struggled to succeed during the initial years of his career in the music industry. Still, he soon found ways to make music for big companies such as Sears, Budweiser, McDonald’s, and Coca-Cola. The ad campaigns also offered him opportunities to work alongside some of the biggest names, such as Johnny Cash and BB King.
Colerick has produced music for an Emmy award-winning campaign for the Department of Transportation in Illinois. He also penned another piece for the Illinois Lottery that won a London International Advertising Award. He took a long hiatus of 20 years from making records and returned to his roots as a troubadour. In 2005, he released Cottonwood, and since then, he has been touring all around the country. Colerick released a few notable albums, including Nine Ten Thirty (2018), Tucson (2014), Lines in the Dirt (2007), and When I’m Gone (2009).
