Boyo Information
Boyo is an indie musician who is native to Los Angeles. Boyo is the pseudonym of Robert Tilden, who is also a famous multi-instrumentalist. From school grades, Tilden knew that he wanted to be a musician. Tilden began his music career by first enjoying a dedicated following with the famous Bobby T. Later on; they formed a garage rock band Slackers in West LA. At that time, Tilden was only 16. Tilden was on vocals and guitar while Alex Gordin played the bass and Ruben Radlaurr played the drums. Slackers released the first EP entitled Peach Fuzz in 2013. It was followed by the Basement Tapes EP and a full-length cassette, Friends.
In 2016, a full-length debut came out by Slackers named Control. It was followed by a rapid succession of home-recorded EPs, tracks, and albums. Tilden was facing unexplained seizures at this time, and the treatment made him homebound. While staying at home, the band recorded their fourth album entitled Where Have All My Friends Gone? in 2020. Boyo enjoyed a productive year in 2018 in which he released Me, Again, the second full-length album.
Later in 2018, Tilden collaborated with Dent May entitled "Take Me Away," along with another set of B-sides.
