Boy Harsher Information
Boy Harsher is an electronic music group with the current group lineup consisting of Augusfus Muller and Jae Matthews. Muller and Matthews, who met while attending film school in Savannah, began the project Teen Dreamz in 2013, which served as a forerunner to Boy Harsher. The endeavor involved Muller providing musical accompaniment and Matthews performing her spoken word works. Teen Dreamz's sound improved over the year as Matthews' voice took on a more expressive singing style. In 2014, the band changed the name of their endeavor to Boy Harsher.
The same year, Boy Harsher published its self-penned debut EP, Lesser Man. The band released their debut album, Yr Body Is Nothing, in 2016 on DKA Records after moving to Massachusetts. The band established their Nude Club imprint in 2018, reissuing their back catalog following the publication of their Country Girl EP in 2017. "Pain II," one of the first albums on Nude Club, is a remixed version of the band's 2014 song. 2019's Careful, their second studio album, was preceded by an expanded reissue of Country Girl known as Country Girl Uncut. Careful Remixes, etc., a remix album of the same name, was also published in the same year and included remixes from techno producers, including Marcel Dettmann and Silent Servant.
