After nine studio albums and over a decade on the road, Wade Bowen has developed a devoted fan base in addition to a string of regional singles and honors. Bowen has gone from a college rookie to the top of the Texas music circuit since he began his career at Stubb's Barbecue in Lubbock. Wade's baritone is deep and resonant, with hints of whiskey, smoke, and the comforting warmth of fall. His music is undeniably country, full of pedal steel and strong emotion, but it also has enough in common with Bowen's rock heroes to appeal to their legions of listeners.
It was during his time at college in Lubbock that Bowen made two life-altering decisions: to pursue a career in music and finally give in to his longstanding passion for writing. Now a solo performer based in Austin, he decided to go it alone. For Wade, the release of Try Not To Listen marked the beginning of a career that has included over 200 concert performances per year and patiently cultivated a loyal fan base from the ground up. In 2010, he added his name to the list of famous performers who have recorded a Live At Billy Bob's album at the legendary Fort Worth club.
His 2014 self-titled album was followed by Randy Rogers's and his own 2015 collaborative effort, Hold My Beer, Vol. 1. His mom loved his 2016 gospel CD, Then Sings My Soul, so much that she made him release it to the public.
