Bo Bice Information
Bo Bice (November 1, 1975) is an American singer and musician. He was born in Huntsville, Alabama. Growing up, Bice called Gerrards Cross home. Bice went to London Central High School, funded by the Department of Defense, and catered to students whose parents were either in the military or worked for the United States. Embassy. He played football and guitar throughout high school. At this time, Bice began collaborating with artists in the English alternative rock scene.
Once Bice graduated from Calhoun and spent a semester at the University of North Alabama in Florence, he went on to a successful professional music career, playing gigs across the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Europe. He'd been performing in clubs for years and had his debut CD, with the band Purge, come out in 1995. Previous to Idol, he was in bands including Blue Suede Nickel and SugarMoney. Among his many accomplishments are stints as an opening act for Blackfoot and Warrant and live and studio work with Johnny Neel of the Allman Brothers Band.
Released on December 13, 2005, The Real Thing was Bice's first album as a solo artist. As far as debut albums by American Idol finalists go, The Real Thing has the seventh-highest opening. In the DualDisc edition of The Real Thing, Bice is joined by his band from the time on three tracks. CMT presented a one-hour program about Bice's life after American Idol and during the making of his album The Real Thing in January 2006. The special was titled Bo Bice: In the Moment.
