Birthright Information
Birthright is an American Christian indie rock band that drives to spread the Gospel of God’s love via music. The current lineup consists of Chris Wilson (drums), Jeremy Wilson (guitar), Bryan Pelky (guitar), Kandis Spencer (bass), and Vicki Pelky (backup vocals and keyboard). The band cites many influences such as Mercy Me, Third Day, Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns, Michael English, Gaither Vocal Band, Michael Card, Flyleaf, Rebecca St. James, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Disciple. The Birthright group members met in the church of which they were all members. They played together for the Vacancy Youth Group as the Praise and Worship Band.
Birthright recorded its first CD back in March 2007 entitled “Birthright – Called Out.” The band anticipates turning the message of the group’s music into their full-time music ministry. The group has opened shows for the fast-rising band formerly known as “7th Seal” and now as “Sending68.” Before they released their first CD in 2007, the first album was “Out Of Darkness” (1997), followed by “These Word Run In My Veins” in 2017 and “Let Me Down Easy” in 2018.
