Bicep Information
Bicep is an Irish electronic music DJ and production duo. The lineup consists of Matthew McBriar and Andrew Ferguson. London-based production and DJ duo Bicep formed in 2009. The two started a blog called "Feel My Bicep" and utilized it to provide rare and previously unreleased remixes of disco, Chicago house, Detroit techno, and Italo disco. Before joining Will Saul's Aus Music and launching their label, Feel My Bicep, in September 2012, they released music on the Throne of Blood, Traveller Records, and Mystery Meat record labels.
Following their 2017 deal to Ninja Tune, Bicep dropped their self-titled debut album, which debuted at number 20 on the UK Albums Chart and was lauded by outlets like Pitchfork, The Guardian, Resident Advisor, and Mixmag. The listening audience chose "Glue" as DJ Mag's (Best of British) Track of the Year. It was ranked second on Mixmag's list of 100 best tracks and first on Amazon's list of the year's best electronic music.
The two musicians set out on a worldwide headline tour in 2017 and 2018 that took them all over the globe. One of their last live performances before 2020 took place in the United Kingdom at Electric Brixton, Roundhouse, and three consecutive dates at London's Printworks, which Resident Advisor videotaped.
