Benjamin Schiff Platt (September 24, 1993) is a performer and actor from America. Marc Platt is the son of a film and theater producer. He started as a young actor in the industry, appearing in musical theater plays such as The Sound of Music (2006) and The Book of Mormon (2012).
The 2021 film version of the musical, produced by his father, featured Platt's return to the role of Evan Hansen. Following that, in 2022, he was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his performance as Leo Frank in Parade, which he took to Broadway the following year.
The announcement of Platt's three-week residency at the Palace Theatre was made public on March 18, 2024. This was the first event to be announced at the theater since its renovations began in 2018. From May 28, 2024, to June 15, 2024, the residency will have 18 performances.
The Honeymind Tour, featuring the release of the second song, "Cherry on Top," and the announcement of 21 North American cities set to begin in Boston on June 18, 2024, and conclude in Seattle on July 27, 2024, was announced on April 11, 2024.
