Bellamy Brothers Information
The Bellamy Brothers is an American pop and country music group. They consist of David Bellamy and Howard Bellamy. The University of Florida fraternity parties were their first paid employment. The brothers quickly relocated to Atlanta and established themselves as Jericho. But the brothers quickly returned home since performing in bands and clubs was too much for them. Shortly after the brothers came to the attention of a friend of musician Jim Stafford, who had composed the song "Spiders & Snakes" with David, the record was eventually recorded.
The album Simply the Best was created in 2012 by the Bellamy Brothers in collaboration with DJ Ötzi, an Austrian schlager performer. The German album charts placed DJ Ötzi's first full-length album in English at number three. "Old Hippie" was listed at #95 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 best country songs in June 2014.
The brothers also collaborated on many other musical projects at this time. From 2003 to 2007, they recorded "Hello, Lady Harley" with Truck Stop, Alan Jackson, and Tom Astor. The Bellamy Brothers' autobiography, Let Your Love Flow: A Life in Music, was published in April 2018. The following year, 2019, the Bellamys released their album Over the Moon. The album had fourteen original songs composed and produced at their ranch studio on Darby.
