Jack Ritchie, an electronic musician now 28 years old, is behind the immersive solo project known as Bearcubs. Over the last four years, he has worked tirelessly to perfect his productions, which feature a unique combination of expressive electronic music, futuristic garage music, and lo-fi house music.
Bearcubs released his debut full-length album, 'Ultraviolet,' in March 2018 to widespread acclaim. Two singles and two EPs preceded the album, 'Chroma' and 'Underwaterfall,' which received widespread critical acclaim. Bearcubs has been heavily championed by the likes of Annie Mac, MistaJam, and Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, and respected tastemakers such as Mixmag,
To promote the release, he embarked on a tour of live performances throughout Europe. He played at packed houses in both London and Berlin and appeared at important music festivals such as MS Dockville, Pukkelpop, and Latitude Festival. He is working on getting his second album ready for release in 2020.
