Bad Cop/Bad Cop is a pop punk band. The group's current lineup consists of Linh Le, Myra Gallarza, Jennie Cotterill, and Stacey Dee. The phrase "Good Cop, Bad Cop" is referenced in the band's moniker. The band's touring footprint grew from its original local to East Coast scope. Their debut demo, Get Rad, was released in 2012, and they backed it up with a 7" of the same name in 2014. Shortly after the recordings were completed, Carlson left the band, but only after he presented them to Linh Le, who eventually became the group's new lead singer.
Since then, the band has recorded several EPs on their own, and in 2013, Dee talked her buddy Fat Mike into coming to San Francisco to see the band play at the Lilith Bear Womyn's Festival. Within a week, he had signed the band to his label Fat Wreck Chords and published their debut extended play, Boss Lady. In June 2015, they published their first studio album, Not Sorry. After that, Fat Wreck invited the band to their 25th Anniversary Tour. Halfway through the tour, however, the band had to break up because of issues stemming from Stacey Dee's substance abuse. Fat Mike was there for Stacey Dee during her rehabilitation, and the group says they became tighter.
