AU5 Information
Austin Collins (September 18, 1992) is an American electronic musician known by his stage name, Au5. In 2012, Au5 started releasing on labels, and in January 2013, he signed Monstercat after winning a Seven Lions remix challenge. There were several popular Au5 albums on the label, including "Halcyon" (with American producer Fractal), "Snowblind" (with Tasha Baxter), and "Crossroad" (starring Danyka Nadeau). Beatport's dubstep charts saw "Halcyon" and "Snowblind" debut at the top spot. 2015 also saw Au5 perform at Austin, Texas's South by Southwest event.
By the end of 2015, Au5 had already left Monstercat. Later in 2016, he performed at the Motion Notion event in British Columbia, Canada, and went on tour with Swedish producer Liquid Stranger and Israeli duo Infected Mushroom. "Lush" and "Closer," featuring Danyka Nadeau, were released on the British label NoCopyrightSounds alongside the American duet Last Heroes and Holly Drummond. In 2018, Au5 released a track on Monstercat titled "The Journey," featuring Australian artist Trove's music.
Dubstep, house, trance, drum & bass, drumstep, and ambient are just a few of the electronic genres that Au5's music spans. Au5 has said that his work is "melodically and sonically rich electronic music," highlighting his prominence in the dubstep scene.
