Atlantic Hockey Tournament Information
The Atlantic Hockey Association holds its conference tournament under the "AHA Tournament." The event champion earns a spot in the NCAA Tournament without competing against other teams. Following the conclusion of the Men's MAAC Ice Hockey Tournament in 2004, which was also the inaugural season of conference play, the tournament was held for the first time. In 2004, the Tate Rink in West Point, New York, hosted the season's final four games.
After being held in the Northford Ice Pavilion in Northford, Connecticut, in 2005, the tournament championship was relocated to the Hart Center in Worcester, Massachusetts in 2006. The final four of the tournament were relocated to a neutral venue beginning with the 2007 competition. This venue is the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York, also the home of the AHL team Rochester Americans.
