Ashley McBryde (July 29, 1983) is an American country music singer and songwriter from Waldron, Arkansas. She began playing her father's guitar in her early teens. McBryde attended Arkansas State University and released her first album right after graduation. To pursue her career as a country music singer, she relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2007. In 2009 and 2010, McBryde won the Country Showdown and released her second album in 2011.
Jalopies & Expensive Guitars was the first extended play by Ashley McBryde in 2016. She then released a song entitled "A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega," named one of the 54 Best Songs in 2017 by The New York Times. Girl Going Nowhere was the debut album by McBryde, released on March 30, 2018, and produced by Jay Joyce. "One Night Standards" was another hit by Ashley McBryde, released in September 2019. This track was chosen as the lead single from McBryde's second studio album, Never Will, released on April 3, 2020.
Lindeville (2022) and The Devil I Know (2023) are her latest albums. She attained one of the pinnacles of country music when she accepted Garth Brooks' invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry and Terri Clark's subsequent induction on December 10, 2022. In 2023, she won two 65th Annual Grammy Awards.
