Arkansas's best, Arkansauce, is a string quartet from the River State. Their roots go back to 2011 when Steve Jolly, Ethan Bush, and Zac Archuleta became acquainted through mutual connections in Fayetteville's tight-knit music scene. Since then, they have been bending the rules and blurring lines between bluegrass, folk, America, funk, country, and blues. Now, with an ever-expanding legion of devoted fans, they take great pride in entering the hard-driving sound exclusive to these hills.
Songs on their debut album, All Day Long, including "Paralyzed," "Mulberry Mountain," and "Every House Downtown," which had almost 700,000 hits on Spotify between them, were written and recorded over four years. Not long after that, upright bassist Tom Andersen and banjo player Adam Collins joined them.
Fans will feel like they are tapping their feet to the music since it has an improvisational guitar and banjo solos, powerful harmony voices, and bass beats. As a result of the infectious energy they exude both live and in their music, this band has an indisputable magnetic pull on their devoted fan base.
