Anthony Raneri Information
Anthony Raneri (August 9, 1982) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He was born in Bayside, Queens. He started Bayside in the late '90s while he was still a student at Benjamin N. Cardozo High School. The first song from his upcoming solo album, "The Ballad of Bill the Saint," was published as a demo on his Myspace page at midnight on December 4, 2009. After meeting at one of Raneri's solo gigs in Orlando, Florida, Raneri claims that the song was recorded late one night in Chris Kirkpatrick's home studio.
On December 13 in Los Angeles, CA, Raneri began work on his debut solo EP. His backup band and collaborators on the track were recently revealed to be Steve Choi of RxBandits, Davey Warsop of Beat Union, and Jarrod Alexander of My Chemical Romance. Facebook posted on December 20, 2011, revealed the solo EP's title and projected release date: New Cathedrals, for early 2012. On December 31, Raneri announced on Facebook that the EP would be published in time for the January "Where's the Band?" tour.
Streaming of the EP's title track, "Sandra Partial," began on January 10, 2012, on Alternative Press. Raneri also shared the EP's cover art and track listing on his Facebook page. "Please Don't Leave," another track off the EP, was posted on AbsolutePunk on January 16.
