AM Radio Hits is a unique American band that was founded in 2016, originating from Southern California. Three friends created the group by jamming all of their musical inspirations into a unique personal vibe. They have coined this as a fusion of Rock-a-billy with surf-country-jazz-punk style. The current lineup of the AM Radio Hits consists of Sonia Sanchez on vocals and upright bass, Denise Saffren on drums, and Chad on guitar.
AM Radio Hits released its first discography as a live demo in 2017. The demo was recorded live at Melrose Music Studios, Hollywood, in July 2017. This live demo was followed by an EP entitled Upbeat Heartbreak. The EP was released in July 2018, and it was recorded at Barefoot Recording, Hollywood.
Some of the notable songs released by AM Radio Hits are Derailed, Mexican Stand-Off, Dismayed, Man In The Moon, Wipe The Slate Clean, Cardboard Kisses Live, and Jellyfish Pinocchio. AM Radio Hits performed many shows at notable venues including Old Towne Pub, Pasadena; 5 Star Bar Downtown LA Benefit Show; The Offbeat Bar / Highland Park; Lot 1 Cafe, Echo Park; Silverlake Lounge, LA; 5Star Bar, Downtown LA; Trip Santa Monica; and Viva Cantina, Burbank.
