Air Information
Air is a Versailles-based French musical duo comprised of Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Nicolas Godin. Their 1998 debut album, Moon Safari, featured the single "Sexy Boy" and was well-received by critics worldwide. The Virgin Suicides, its sequel, was composed for Sofia Coppola's original film of the same name.
The band has released several albums since then, including Talkie Walkie, Pocket Symphony, Love 2, Le Voyage dans la Lune, and Music for Museum. It also includes 10,000 Hz Legend. The band draws inspiration from various musical styles and artists worldwide.
Premiers Symptômes was Air's debut extended play (EP) from 1995, following a string of remixes for other artists in the early 1990s. Moon Safari was the band's debut album, released in 1998. The album achieved commercial success on a global scale and was praised by critics all over the world.
When performing live, Air makes good use of many of the instruments used in the studio, allowing them to showcase their improvisatory skills. During live performances, the band plays extended or altered versions of the most well-known songs from the albums.
