Abraham Alexander is a well-known musician, hailing from Athens, Greece, born to Nigerian descent parents. Currently, he lives in Fort Worth, Texas, where he moved with his family at 11. Alexander also played soccer in college during his time at Fort Worth’s Texas Wesleyan University. But due to an injury, he was permanently sidelined. Later, he started gigging with his guitar and gradually began to make a name for himself in the roots’ scene.
Alexander is well-known for his blues style and soulful voice that takes listeners on a very personal journey. Due to Athens’s life struggles, Alexander’s lyrics speak to trauma, pain, and life-changing loss. Simultaneously, his music is also full of joyful passion along with an irrepressible spirit.
While making his debut EP entitled Stay, Alexander traveled from Fort Worth, TX to London. He worked with notable producers and songwriters such as Cameron Warren (The Dap-Kings, Dan Caplen). His debut EP is a mix of soul, hip-hop, and blues elements. Alexander began collaborating with fellow Texan musical forces in 2017, including Austin’s guitar maestro Gary Clark Jr. and Leon Bridges. He recently traveled to Los Angeles and collaborated on a forthcoming project with Bridges.
