AB6IX, pronounced as A B six, which stands for “Absolute Six” or “Above Brand New Six,” is a brand new South Korean music band. It made a historic debut in the world of music in 2019. The band members include Lim Young-min, Kim Dong-Hyun, Park Woo-jin, Lee Dae-hwi, and the main vocalist of the band, Jeon Woong.
AB6IX made their first group appearance in a reality show “Brand New Boys” on April 18, 2019. The band debuted on May 22, 2019, with Extended Play titled “B Complete” with debut showcase on the same day at Olympic Hall. The band's genre is K-Pop. They also released a full-length performance music video for Hollywood.
AB6IX released their first album titled “ 6ixense’ on October 7, 2019, that is their first studio album. The album includes 11 tracks with famous songs titled as “Be There,” “Blind for Love,” “Dandelion,” “Sunset,” “Nothing Without You,” “And Me,” “Love Air,” “Pretty,” “Shadow” and “Deep Inside.” Another album was released soon after which is titled “B Complete” that has seven tracks titled “Absolute,” “Shining Stars,” “ Breathe,” “Friend Zone,” “Dance for Two,” “ Light Me Up” and “Hollywood.”
AB6IX won several promising awards within few months of its debut. They won “Rising Stars Award,” “Hot Trend Award” by Melon Music Awards, “Rookie of the Year” by Asia Artist Awards, “New Male Artist” by Korea First Brand Awards, “Global Rookie Top 5 Award” by V Live Awards, “Main Prize Award” by Sori Buda Best Music Awards and “Next Generation Star Award” by Genie Music Awards. All these awards were won within the year of its debut, and the band got nominated for many other awards as well.
