Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid set a national record at the State for the longest run in America at the venue. Tommy was the final picture show on new year’s eve.
The State Theatre has hosted Broadway touring productions such as Sweeney Todd, Avenue Q, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat. Various notable concerts performed here by famous stars such as Gordon Lightfoot and Patti Smith. Author and Adventure speaker series along with films including the world premiere of the Minnesota based movie, Grumpy Old Man, etc. were featured at the venue. Jingle with Arnold Schwarzenegger was also featured at the theatre.
