National Sports Center Tickets Information
The National Sports Center (NSC) is a multi-sport complex that is located in Blaine, Minnesota. The facility broke ground in 1987, and it opened for the local public in 1990. The total construction cost of the project was $20.3 million. The sports complex is under the ownership of the State of Minnesota, and the National Sports Center Foundation operates it. It has a seating capacity of 10,000 with a natural grass surface. NSC also includes a soccer stadium, a velodrome, a meeting, and convention facility, a golf course, and an eight-sheet ice rink called the Schwan Super Rink. The complex is well-known for hosting several National and World Championship events in hockey, soccer, figure skating, broomball, rugby, short-track speed skating, ultimate, and lacrosse.
The National Sports Center welcomes over 3.8 million visitors annually; hence, it is said to be the most-visited sports facility in Minnesota. Every year, the facility hosts Schwan's USA CUP, the largest soccer tournament with over 1,100 teams and participants from 19 countries. The complex serves as the current home to the Minnesota Wind Chill (AUDL). The two of the past tenants include Minnesota Thunder (USISL/A-League/USL-1) (1990–2003, 2008–2009) and Minnesota United FC (NASL) (2010–2016).
The NSC also hosts KTIS-FM's Joyful Noise Family Fest on an annual basis since its inception. Minnesota United FC used the stadium as their home ground until they moved to the famous TCF Bank Stadium in 2017.
