Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino includes a standardbred racetrack located in Anderson, Indiana. The venue is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. The site features live harness racing (from April through November), entertainment events, a gift shop, restaurants, and casino gaming. In 1994, the $300,000 Dan Patch Stakes was established at Hoosier Park and became a tradition highlighting some of the best athletes in harness racing.
Harrah’s Hoosier Park also offers off-track betting at three different Indiana locations: New Haven, Indianapolis, and Clarksville. The arena offers simulcast wagering year-round as well. Hoosier Park has hosted musicians such as Billy Currington, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and The Beach Boys. The Indiana Derby has also been held once at Hoosier Park.
On June 2, 2008, Hoosier Park Casino opened to the public. Caesars Entertainment bought Hoosier Park from Centaur Holdings in 2018. The company decided to rebrand the property as Harrah’s Hoosier Park.
