The Glass Bowl Stadium has a seating capacity of around 26,038 people. The venue opened to the general public on September 27, 1937. In 1946, after World War II, the stadium was renovated with several glass elements, and as such, it is called the Glass Bowl. The University of Toledo owns and manages the Glass Bowl Stadium. The stadium underwent multiple renovations in 1940, 1949, 1966, 1971, and the largest one in 1990. The credit for designing its beautiful architecture goes to SSOE.
