Bayfront Park Amphitheater, also known as Klipsch Amphitheater, is one of the largest summer concert venues in Miami, located at 301 Biscayne Blvd. It was built in March 1925. The outdoor theater has a seating capacity of around 10,000, including 7,328 lawn seats and 2,672 fixed seats. Warren Henry Manning designed the architecture of the amphitheater. In the initial months of 1980, the amphitheater was redesigned by Landscape architect and Japanese-American modernist artist, Isamu Noguchi. It is owned and operated by Live Nation. After a multi-million dollar renovation, the amphitheater reopened in August 2009. It features restroom facilities, VIP parking, expanded concessions, and state-of-the-art production capabilities.
On Independence Day in 2011, the venue hosted annual America's Birthday Bash with a crowd of more than 60,000 visitors. It also hosts the city's New Year's Eve Party annually. Band composer and leader, Caesar LaMonaca gave a musical performance at the venue from 1928-1978. It was a former site to the Ultra Music Festival. Famous artists including Bob Dylan, Incubus, Smashing Pumpkins, and The cure has given their live performances at the venue. The groups that played here range from older classic rock bands, such as Bush, to Up-and-coming bands like Young the Giant.
