The 2021 musical Winnie the Pooh: A New Musical Adaptation will draw from the films of the same name. With a text by Jonathan Rockefeller, the Sherman brothers—Richard M. and Robert B.—wrote the music and lyrics. The same collection of short stories also inspired the stage performance.
The Disney Theatrical Productions musical premiered in October 2021 at New York City's Theatre Row Building to mostly positive reviews. The world debut took place on November 4, 2021.
The Sherman Brothers provided the melody and lyrics, while Jonathan Rockefeller adapted the characters. A production set to tour the United States was announced in June 2022. The initial schedule was for the performances to start at Irving Arts Center in Irving, Texas, on September 16, 2022, and to end at Marcus Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 7, 2023.
A UK premiere was announced in August 2022. The show's run at London's Riverside Studios commenced on March 17, 2023, and concluded on September 2, 2023. The cast included Benjamin Durham, Lottie Grogan, Robbie Noonan, Alex Cardall, Harry Boyd, Chloe Gentles, and Laura Bacon.
