Pod Save America is an American progressive political podcast distributed and produced by Crooked Media. The podcast debuted in January 2017. The podcast on airs twice a week. The Monday edition of the podcast is hosted by former staff of Barack Obama, Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vietor. Thursday edition of the podcast is sponsored by Dan Pfeiffer and Favreau. The podcast features interviews of different politicians, activists, and journalists that also include Obama’s meeting when he was the president of the United States.
Pod Save America is a flagship podcast of Crooked Media. It is a media company that was founded by Favreau, Lovett, and Vietor. An episode of the podcast receives around 1.5 million listeners regularly. As of November 2017, the podcast has been downloaded for over 120 million times. To cover the U.S midterm elections, Four Pod Save America one-hour HBO TV specials aired in fall 2018.
Crooked media also releases their podcast on YouTube channel. Pod Save America debuted in January 2017 as a successor to “Keepin’ it 1600”. It was mainly a political podcast that was produced by The RInger of Bill Simons. In the fall of 2017, Crooked media took the podcast to its debut live tour entitled “Pod Tours America.” During that time, live podcasts shows were recorded and then released.
