Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais is a Quebec comedian, actor, and host. He was born in Laval and grew up in Lachenaie. Desmarais completed his graduation from the National School of Humor in 2017. The same year, he reached the final of the “On the Way to My First Just for Laughs” gala. The next year in 2018, he presented his solo show at Zoofest called Bonjour.
In 2018, Desmarais appeared in his first-ever Just For Laughs along with “ComediHa! Fest-Québec.” In 2017, he made his television debut during “ALT.” The following year, he became the show’s host. Desmarais found himself at the helm of a program named 14 Thousand Million Things to Know in 2019. It was aired on Radio-Canada. He won the Roast Battle tournament the same year. In 2019, Desmarais became a regular contributor to the radio show, Veronique et Les fantastique.
Desmarais wrote and performed the song for Bye Bye in 2020. He became a spokesperson for “Secondaire en spectacle” in 2021. His other notable television appearances include Family Councils (2018), OD + Live (2018), Open Mic By…. (2019), Make me laugh! (2019), and The Week of 4 Julie (2020).
