Phil Hanley is an American standup comedian, actor, and writer. He began his standup comedy journey by performing at a variety of open mics all across Vancouver. Hanley often performed in between bands at different music venues. During these initial performances, he discovered his unique ability to blend a crowd’s interaction with fantastic material. This quality of Hanley’s makes no two performances the same.
Phil Hanley’s style can be ideally described as unpredictably reflective, which is delivered with sharp accuracy. Hanley is well known for Spymate (2003), I Feel Pretty (2018), and Sundowners (2017). Hanley has previously been seen on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Pete Holmes Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers, John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, The Late European Show With Craig Ferguson @midnight.
Phil Hanley has also showcased at several comedy festivals and is regularly at The Comedy Cellar in New York City. “Please Don’t Chit-Chat While I’m Pursuing My Dream” is the only album released by Hanley.
