Paddington Gets in a Jam Information
In this unique slapstick comedy, Paddington visits his neighbor Mr. Curry to borrow a cup of sugar while he is in a panic at the impending arrival of his Great Aunt Matilda. Paddington offers to assist Mr. Curry with his list of tasks before her impending visit.
Paddington tries to cross off each item on the list throughout the afternoon, including fixing the bathroom's pipes, cleaning the floors, hanging new wallpaper, and baking a cake. But as is common for Paddington, nothing happens as planned. The toilet floods as a result of broken plumbing. The vacuum cleaner behaves badly and scatters dust all over the place. When Paddington overdoes the self-rising flour in the cake, his attempts to wallpaper end in disastrous (and sticky) pandemonium.
Even though Paddington now resides in London, he was originally from Peru and was raised by his aunt Lucy there after becoming orphaned due to an earthquake when he was just a few weeks old.
She sent him to England after Aunt Lucy moved into the Home for Retired Bears in Lima. Paddington eventually arrived at Paddington Station in London, where Mr. and Mrs. Brown discovered him.
