Maxim Alexandrovich Galkin is a Russian television presenter, singer, and comedian from Naro-Fominsk District, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. He attended math school and studied music while growing up in a strict upbringing. Galkin speaks four languages; English, German, French, and Russian, but he first gained fame as an impersonator. Galkin is best known for his unbeatable talent at parody. He has performed duets with many famous Russian pop singers, such as Ani Lorak and Alla Pugacheva. He also served as a host to the Russian version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," The Million Pound Drop (Russian adaptation).
Maxim Galkin went to the Russian State University for the Humanities, and during university, he appeared in the Russian youth stand-up comedy competition named KVN. This appearance kick-started his career. He soon hosted a Russian TV show named Dve Zvezdy (Two Stars). Galkin is one of those few comedians currently performing an impression of President Vladimir Putin. He has also been hosting a children's talent show on TV, "Best of All," since November 2016. Galkin was also awarded the Order of Friendship in 2006.
