Lynne Koplitz Information
Lynne Koplitz (June 13, 1969) is an American actress and stand-up comedian born in Long Island, New York. Koplitz hosted the nationally syndicated dating program Change of Heart for Telepictures, appeared as a guest host on NBC's Later, co-hosted How to Boil Water on the Food Network, and co-hosted the syndicated discussion show Life and Style for Sony Pictures. Several Comedy Central specials, such as Premium Blend and Comedy Central Presents, have included her stand-up. She performed at the Montreal comedy festival Just for Laughs.
Koplitz is one of the comedians contributing to Lewis Black's History of the Joke program on the History Channel. Koplitz appeared in several commercials for Troy University, her alma mater. Along with Jules Asner and Kimora Lee Simmons, she co-starred on the NBC programs Extra, The Other Half, and Shop & Style, as well as the syndicated chat show Life & Style from Sony. Additionally, Koplitz had a Comedy Central Presents: Lynne Koplitz half-hour special. She appeared in a Midol commercial.
On IFC's Z Rock, Koplitz also portrayed Dina, the band ZO2's manager. She co-hosted the StarTalk podcast's premiere episode in 2009 with renowned astronomer Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson. On September 20, 2010, at The Theatre at 45 Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village, Koplitz performed the role of Sister Rita in a staged reading of Charles Messina's play A Room of My Own.
