Ismo Leikola (January 22, 1979) is a Finnish musician, author, YouTuber, screenwriter, and stand-up comedian born in Jyvaskyla, Finland. At the University of Jyväskylä, where he studied chemistry and physics, Leikola made his stand-up comedy debut in 2002 in the pub Ilokivi. He drew inspiration from the event and began studying stand-up comedy by watching old VHS cassette tapes featuring Eddie Murphy and Eddie Izzard.
With an estimated 250-300 gigs each year, Leikola had performed three years in the US and nine tours in Finland as of 2019. Throughout a weekend in America, he would perform four or five times. Laugh Factory and Comedy & Magic Club are only two of Leikola's frequent Los Angeles comedy venues.
Edinburgh Fringe, Just for Laughs 2017, and Melbourne International Comedy Festival are just a few of the prestigious venues hosting Leikola's performances. The New Zealand International Comedy Festival was one of two stops on Leikola's two-time tour of the country. As the opening act for Gabriel Iglesias in 2022, Leikola played to a crowd of 45,000 at Los Angeles's Dodger Stadium.
