Dominic Paquet (September 10, 1975) is a Quebec comedian born in Kirkland and graduated from the National School of Humor in 1998. The American comedy style influenced his comedy practices as a stand-up comedian. Paquet performs several characters and is well-known for the faces he makes on the stage and his vocal prowess.
Dominic Paquet launched his first one-person-show in 2006, which was so successful it earned him a nomination for the Revelation of the Year during the 2006 Gala des Oliviers. His second one-person show came out in 2010 named “Paquet,” directed by Michel Courtemanche. It came to an end on October 24, 2012, and had been seen by almost 70,000 spectators in 150 performances. Paquet has also been the spokesperson for the Shaved Head Challenge of Leucan, an NPO that helps children with cancer.
Paquet launched his third one-person-show in April 2015, entitled “Rien que’s’une gosse.” Real Beland directed the show nominated in four categories at the Gala des Olivier, including Olivier of the Year and Best Seller in 2017 and Authors of the Year along with Show of the Year in 2016.
