Clue The Musical is a musical based on a book by Peter DePietro and written in 1993 by DePietro and Chiodo. The music is by Wayne Barker, Galen Blum, and Vinnie Martucci, while the lyrics are by Tom Chiodo. Aside from the book, the musical is based on the board game of the same, and its plot concerns a murder at a mansion occupied by several suspects, solved by a detective. In this case, the audience decides the ending of the musical. The musical script includes an interactive feature where audience members are to randomly choose cards determining which of the suspect committed the murder, in what room the murder took place, and which weapon was used.
Clue The Musical is a mystery that has 216 possible endings based on the cards drawn. The story was adapted for the screen previously, as the 1985 black comedy film of the same name. Clue The Musical ran off-Broadway in 1997, in Baltimore in 1995, and Chicago in 1996.
