Catherine Cohen (1991) is an American singer, actress, and comedian. She was born in Houston, Texas. Since she was a youngster, she had been interested in musical theater and eventually earned a degree in English from Princeton. After enrolling in lessons at the Upright Citizens Brigade and working at the Peoples Improv Theater, she relocated to New York City to pursue a stand-up and sketch comedy career. Critics have praised Cohen's comedic cabaret performances, and he was included on "comedians to watch" lists in 2018 by publications like Vulture and Time Out.
She performs at Joe's Pub in a show called The Twist once a month. The weekly event at Club Cumming is called Cabernet Cabaret, and it features She's Gorgeous, which features singing and accompaniment. Her regular pianistic partner, Henry Koperski, will be on hand for both performances. The swirling, glittering Technicolor explosion is how The Cut's Madeleine Aggeler described her performances. In addition, she hosts a monthly comedy event with Patti Harrison and Mitra Jouhari under the name; It's a Guy Thing.
Cohen has worked as an actress on several popular comedic shows. These include High Maintenance, Broad City, Search Party, and What We Do in the Shadows. In July 2019, she appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers to sing her comedy tune. Based on her 2019 presentation at the Edinburgh Festival, she debuted her first Netflix comedy special in 2022, similarly titled The Twist...? She's Gorgeous.
