Cary Ballet Company has been providing services to the Triangle area for over 20 years as a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Twenty minutes from Raleigh, the town of Cary is home to a thriving arts scene, which the Company helps to foster. Since its inception in 1998, the Company has undergone remarkable development. From a studio production of a scaled-down "Nutcracker" to the Cary Arts Center's resident ballet group in 2011, quite the journey!
The Company's training, community engagement, education programs, and overall quality of its productions have all improved dramatically under Mariaelena Ruiz's leadership. Dancers who work with guest choreographers like Francisco Gella, Justin Allen, Duncan Cooper, and Maria Konrad gain a well-rounded education and experience in the art form.
