Beth Stelling Information
Beth Stelling (April 9, 1986) is an American writer and stand-up comedian. She was born in Oakwood, Montgomery County. She was the 2003 Ohio Speech and Debate Association Humorous Interpretation High School State Champion. She earned her bachelor's degree in theatre at Miami University in 2007. Stelling spent the first five years of her adult life in Chicago, but she moved to Los Angeles in 2012 after the release of her debut comedy album, Sweet Beth. A "Comic to Watch" by Comic and a "Comedian to Watch" by Out, respectively, with her television debut on Conan in 2014, has since received numerous other accolades.
Stelling has been featured on numerous talk shows, including Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, Last Call with Carson Daly, The UCB Show, The Pete Holmes Show, and We Can Fix You. Recently, her comedy album Simply the Beth was made available on iTunes and Amazon, and in 2015, she had a special on Comedy Central's The Half Hour. Among the top comedy specials of 2015, according to Vulture. She was also included in the Comedy of SXSW special on Showtime. Beth does stand-up comedy at venues such as colleges and festivals all over the country. She has also appeared in an episode of the Amazon Prime Video series Red Oaks and written for the HBO series Crashing, which stars Pete Holmes and was created by Judd Apatow.
