Back to the Future - The Musical Information
Back to the Future is a musical based on the 1985 movie of the same name. The movie is about a teenager named Marty McFly, who accidentally time-travels to 1955 in a time machine created by his friend Doc Brown. Together, they have to make sure that Marty's parents fall in love, or they will alter the course of history. The show has the famous film songs, such as "Power of Love", and a completely new score that brings the excitement and the heart of the original fairytale.
The show opened in Manchester in 2020 and transferred to the West End of London in 2021, where it won the Laurence Olivier Award as Best New Musical. It was then brought to Broadway in 2023, at the Winter Garden Theatre, with Casey Likes playing Marty McFly and Roger Bart as Doc Brown. The Broadway show closed in January 2025, with nominations in two Tony Awards, namely Best Scenic Design of a Musical and Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical.
In 2025, Back to the Future The Musical is on a North American tour and will perform in Boston, Toronto, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Huntsville, Sioux Falls, Detroit, and Philadelphia, among other cities. Viewers will be able to see the magic of time travel when Marty and Doc Brown travel on their exciting adventure one more time.
