X League Football Information
The Extreme Football League, sometimes known as the X League, is a women's indoor American football league played on a semi-professional level in the United States. The Lingerie Football League (LFL) was the initial name of the league when it was established in 2009. In 2013, the league changed its name to the Legends Football League.
The league announced on December 13, 2019, that it would not be hosting a 2020 season and had instead reformed under its existing name, placing new clubs in most of the same places as the 2019 LFL season. This change came about as a result of the league's decision not to hold a 2020 season. The Chicago Blitz were victorious in the reorganized X League's first-ever championship game, the X Cup, which took place at the end of the X League's eight-team season in 2022 and lasted from June to September.
Mike Ditka, a former player in the National Football League (NFL) who is also a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is the current owner of the league. In May of 2022, Samantha Gordon was also given the owner title.
